DC Leaders for Rule of Law

We are members and former leaders of the District of Columbia Bar and voluntary bar associations of varying political affiliations who have come together at an extraordinary moment in our nation’s history to advocate zealously in support of the Rule of Law, which now is under assault.

We are united in the view that our democracy depends on the crucial role of the courts, and by extension lawyers as officers of the courts, in our constitutional system of checks and balances to uphold and defend the Rule of Law.
