Leaders in the D.C. legal community are defending the legal profession and the rule of law. In April 2026, former bar leaders including past officials of the District of Columbia Disciplinary System and voluntary bar associations submitted comments in response to a rule proposed by the Department of Justice that would preempt state disciplinary processes.
